Flat Head Ford
Flat Head Ford introduces a unique style of Country/Blues reminiscent of, JJ Cale, John Prine and Jerry Reed; mixed with authentic Chicago Blues.
Joe Asselin has been performing and recording professionally for over 15 years. Throughout his career he has worked with numerous artists specifically within the Blues community. Notarized for his impressive Harmonica work on The Kilborn Alley Blues Bands albums and his genuine approach to his work with The Sugar Prophets, has helped Joe find his own creative sound. Reminiscent of classic Country and Blues, with a twist of Rock A Billy, Asselin has found where he feels most comfortable. Joe released his solo acoustic album "Blue Genes" in 2016 and is now following up with his electric setup for the release of "Flat Head Ford." The band recorded in the studio as a three piece; bass, drums, and guitar, then Asselin returned to overdub the guitar parts, harmonica, lap steel and vocals. This album was recorded at studio 401 in Georgetown IL in May of 2018.
